2026 TERMS & CONDITIONS
All parents and students of DNA Performing Arts must adhere to the 2026 terms and conditions outlined in this contract. If the contract is broken, it will be void, and the student will be asked to leave the studio, DNA Performing Arts.EXPECTATIONS
• All enrolled students must commit to attending all concert rehearsals at the theatre, including emergency rehearsals and all scheduled performances. Students who do not participate in any concert rehearsals or shows may jeopardise their enrolment for the following year.
• All fees, including term and costume fees, must be paid by the due date.
• Students must wear the DNA uniform to class and the compulsory shoes for their specific genre.
• Parents are expected to read all emails and posts from our app “Audiri” to stay up-to-date with studio matters and information.ENROLMENT
• By submitting your enrolment form via our website, you agree to the Terms & Conditions as outlined in the website waiver.
• All members must download the “Audiri” app and join our Facebook community prior to starting classes.
• No Change of Mind Policy: You must commit for a full term in the classes you have enrolled in.
• No refunds or credits will be given.
• Students under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian sign the documents on their behalf.
• If a student is absent, please complete an absentee form via the “Audiri” app.
• 100% commitment and attendance are expected from all students upon enrolment.
• Students are required to arrive five minutes before their class commences.
• Students under 18 must be collected on time by a parent/guardian. Students cannot wait outside the studio after class and must be collected from inside the studio.
• Parents must notify staff in advance if they will be late to pick up their child.
• Make-up classes are not offered by DNA Performing Arts under normal circumstances. Exceptions may be granted at the Director’s discretion.
• While enrolled with DNA Performing Arts:
Enrolling in other studios or classes is prohibited.
External workshops must be approved by the Director or Studio Manager.
Permission must be obtained before auditioning for external programs or companies.
Students may not compete in competitions during the month of the concert.SOCIAL MEDIA
• For communication with DNA Performing Arts staff, email admin@dancenationacademy.com or phone/text 0421 792 906.
• Do not contact staff through personal devices or social media for DNA matters. Breaches may result in termination of enrolment.
• The DNA Performing Arts Facebook page is compulsory for sharing class footage. Personal concerns should be emailed. Inappropriate comments will be deleted.
• Students and parents must avoid communicating with teachers directly via social media.
• Parents may create private groups for coordination but must not post negative, defamatory, or misleading content about DNA Performing Arts.
• Students are encouraged to tag DNA Performing Arts on Instagram/TikTok: @dancenationacademy with #teamdna.CONCERT
• Attendance at all concerts and rehearsals (including emergency rehearsals) is mandatory.
• Students absent from rehearsals will not be permitted to participate in the annual concert.
• Film and flash photography are prohibited.
• Parents must purchase required undergarments (details will be emailed).
• Outstanding balances must be cleared before theatre rehearsals.
• Backstage access is restricted to designated helpers only.
• Concerns must be addressed directly with staff.
• Delivery food services are not permitted.
• Students under 18 must be signed in and out by a parent/guardian.UNIFORM
• Students must wear the required uniform and appropriate shoes for each class.
• Tiny Tots in acrobatics must purchase the junior school uniform.
• Ballet students (Intermediate and above) must follow grooming requirements:
Black leotard
Pink tights
Pink ballet shoes (no canvas shoes)
Ballet bun required
• If awaiting stock, students must wear black dance-appropriate attire.
• Uniforms available at DNA shop or Sage Dance Wear.
• Students moving from Junior to Senior must wear the senior uniform.
• All students must transition to the new uniform by 1 July 2026.FEES
• Payment due within 14 days of invoice.
• Late payments incur $5 daily (including weekends).
• Students who refuse to pay late fees cannot attend class.
• Accepted payments:
Visa/Mastercard (2% surcharge)
Cash or bank transfer (receipt required; use invoice number)
• Outstanding fees must be cleared before classes commence.
• Holding Fee: $5 per class/week for absences over 3 weeks (must be approved).
• No credits for missed/rescheduled classes.
• Multiple transfers allowed for term fees before invoice due date.
• If late fees exceed 14 days, students may not attend classes.
• No advance payments for future fees (e.g., costumes).
• Credits applied if overpayments or discrepancies occur.
• Holding fee applies to long absences to secure class placement.PAYMENT PLANS
• Available via Ezi Debit for term fees only.
• Valid for 5 weeks; customer may choose debit day and amount.
• Three failed payments void the contract; remaining balance due within 7 days.
• Fees:
Setup/Admin: $5.50
Weekly bank transfer: $1.20
Visa/Mastercard: 2.5%
Amex/Diners: 4.4%
DanceBiz fee: $1.00
Failed payment fee: $21.90ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
• Each family must purchase one concert footage copy; separate invoices for multiple showcases.
• Annual app access fee applies.
• $12 concert fee per student (covers hair/grooming).
• All costumes must be purchased; cost $60–$110. Unpaid costumes = student cannot perform.
• Students may need to purchase tights, undergarments, shoes (reused styles).
• Concert and awards tickets info will be emailed.
• Competition entries must be self-funded and approved.
• Some students may need a Wiglet (ordered via studio).
• Selected students representing DNA in interstate/overseas events must self-fund all costs.SAFETY & STUDIO REGULATIONS
• Injuries/illness will be assessed by Director.
• Parents cannot view classes from inside studio; viewing windows available for last 15 minutes (exceptions: Tiny Tots & Sub Juniors).
• Store belongings in storage areas; DNA is not responsible for lost items.
• No food/drink in studios except water (no glass).
• Nut-free environment.
• No mobile phones in class.
• Vandalism results in instant enrolment termination; damages will be billed.
• Zero tolerance for bullying; one warning only.
• Communication with teachers must go through DNA admin.
• DNA maintains a safe workspace; parents should report concerns.
• First Aid kit on site; staff trained; emergencies will involve ambulance.
• All choreography is the intellectual property of DNA and may not be used elsewhere.
• DNA is not a child-minding facility; siblings cannot be left unattended.
• Filming/photography of groups is prohibited; only your own child may be recorded.REFUNDS
DNA Performing Arts does not issue refunds for:
• Dance Fees
• Costumes
• Uniform/Merchandise
• Awards night tickets
• Concert tickets
• Wiglets
• Competition fees
• DVD/Concert Footage
• WorkshopsPRIVATE LESSONS
• Must be paid upfront or via 5-week Ezi Debit plan (no casual weekly payments).
• Students may cancel 2 private lessons per term with credit. Excess cancellations are charged.
• Teacher cancellations receive a credit.
• 24-hour cancellation policy applies.
• Cancel only via email: admin@dancenationacademy.com.
• Students must commit to their term-long private lesson slot.
• Two weeks’ notice required to discontinue.
• Students may not miss DNA classes or events due to competitions.
• Students/parents must provide/upload music.
• DNA is not responsible for entering students into competitions. Approval required first.
• Music can be requested via email or USB.
• Costumes must be approved by Director.
• Students who leave DNA cannot continue competing DNA choreography.PHYSICAL CONTACT POLICY
• Physical contact may be required for instruction or correction.
• Any inappropriate contact must be reported immediately.GOVERNMENT POLICY (FACTORY SHUTDOWN)
• During government restrictions, all classes except acrobatics move to Zoom.
• All enrolled students must attend online classes.
• Acrobatics will receive makeup classes.
• Online schedules will be provided.
• Log in 10 minutes early for technical checks.IN-HOUSE GOVERNMENT POLICY
• Students must not attend classes when unwell or showing symptoms.
• Restrictions may change per health advice; updates via email.
• All students/visitors must comply.MEDIA RELEASE DNA Performing Arts may occasionally use the students names, photographic and/or video images for use on our website, brochures and social media platforms.Please advice staff if we do not have permission to use images of students for promotional
material.
